In this guide
The current publisher overview advertises more than 250 Charms and Blessings. A pool that large makes filtering more important than memorizing one list. Judge a Charm by trigger consistency, immediate run value, and compatibility with the current loadout.
Check the trigger
Read the condition before the reward. Estimate how often the weapon, mod, and movement pattern can activate it in a real encounter. A Charm that depends on unsafe positioning or a rare event needs a much stronger payoff to justify the risk.
Value the current run
Choose for the problems the run still has. Survival or control may be worth more than another damage layer if the build already clears normal enemies but loses recovery space. Against durable targets, a repeatable effect is usually easier to plan around than a rare burst.
Avoid split scaling
Do not collect several effects that require incompatible ranges or actions. When a Charm changes the central loop, revisit the Blessings guide, weapon mods guide, and boss preparation.
Charm decision matrix
Score a choice against the current run rather than an imaginary perfect build.
| Question | Strong signal | Warning signal |
|---|---|---|
| Can I trigger it? | Normal attacks, movement, or skills activate it repeatedly | It requires a rare event or unsafe position |
| Does it solve a problem now? | It improves survival, control, or durable-target pressure the run lacks | It adds more of something already sufficient |
| Does it share scaling? | Existing mods and Blessings support the same action or effect | It starts a second engine with no support |
| Can I observe the result? | The effect changes a measurable outcome in the next room | The benefit is too conditional to evaluate |
When two Charms look close, choose the one that can be tested immediately. Clear feedback makes the next upgrade decision better; an effect that only matters in a rare late encounter can leave the build weak for several rooms.
When to pivot
A pivot is justified when a new Charm changes the weapon's reliable trigger, fixes the run's largest weakness, or creates a clearly stronger interaction with existing upgrades. Do not pivot only because a description sounds rare or dramatic. After pivoting, stop taking upgrades for the abandoned plan and reassess range, reload safety, and boss pressure.
The publisher advertises more than 250 Charms and Blessings combined but does not provide a complete public effect database on its overview page. Exact names, values, and rankings should be tied to a tested game version before publication.
